Start: Alpine Meadows N of Whistler
Turnaround: Cal-Check Suspension Bridge
Finish: Alpine Meadows
Route: Valley trail, Sea to Sky Trail
Distance: 39.48 km
Elevation: 593m
Time: 3h 59m
Route notables: Technically easy double-track trail riding on crushed gravel. Good variety of forest scenery including multiple river crossings on suspension bridges. Sea to Sky Trail continues S to Squamish. It employs HWY 99 a couple times further S but is a great longer ride on easy trails. Solid details available at:

Flat rear on Gen’s bike before leaving home. Grabbed 2 tubes from town as well as a stubby Liv water bottle. Space in front triangle of a S frame can be challenging.

Variable, grey weather made this popular trail much quieter than normal and aside from a couple drops we stayed dry.
Stopped at both suspension bridges to enjoy the scenery.

Turned around at Cal-Check campground but the sea to sky trail continues on to Squamish.
We opted for a date at the Nita Lake Lodge enroute home for some chicken Parm. Yum. This is a solid option for fancy bikes without a lock as line of sight and close proximity exist from the patio.
One cinnamon bear W of Alta lake climbing the cliff beside the road after being scared by passing cars. Also a bunny. I do like a cute bunny.
Another bigger black bear blocking the Valley trail stopped Gen for a short while. I did not see this one as I was pedaling to get second dinner. A reported healthy coat and bulky stature were nice to hear. Also nice to hear Gen and a random biker gave the bear space and then crossed as a group once ample buffer zone available.
-wore brace, knee coped well.
Keep stoking the fire.
